Corsica: A 20-Yr multi-mission absolute altimeter calibration site

Initially developed for monitoring the performance of TOPEX/Poseidon and follow-on Jason legacy satellite altimeters, Corsica geodetic facilities that are located both at Senetosa Cape near Ajaccio have been to calibrate successive altimeters in an absolute sense. Since 1998, successful calibration process used most oceanographic altimeter missions has regularly updated terms situ instruments, measurements methodologies. In this study, we present assessment long-term stability instruments sea level include a careful datum. Based on 20-yr series measurements, review derived Sea Surface Height (SSH) biases following altimetric based recent reprocessing their data set: Jason-1/2/3, Envisat ERS-2, CryoSat-2, SARAL/AltiKa Sentinel-3A&B. For longest time standard error SSH is now few millimeters which fundamental maintain high confidence scientists global mean rise.
